Amazing HS Baseball Trick Pick-Off

With two outs and the bases loaded, the pitcher fakes a pick-off throw to second. Once the third-base runner is fooled into taking off for home, the pitcher nails him at the plate. Courtesy: Delano High School Baseball

the guy never threw the ball to second base and the outfielders pretended like the ball was overthrown into the outfield so the baserunner on third thought he should take home…

Nice. Next time the center fielder and right fielder need to coordinate themselves a little better. They’re clearly running after different fake baseballs.

That was a very well thought out play, infield, outfield, everybody sold it great 🙂 Only question I have is; what was the third base coach seeing on the play? ;-#

Got em!!! The pitcher is not the one that sells it Center and Left Field Sells it in the Scramble!!! and Honestly if this kid gets down feet first and makes the slide the way he is suppose to he would have been SAFE!!!

not true. it is only a balk by the high school and generic balk rule if he fakes to FIRST base while disengaging from the front of the rubber. not the back, nor a jump move to second base. Coach was just stupid enough to send him without seeing the ball roll to CF

LOL that’s brilliant, especially because it’s not the pros, to orchestrate that with a group of kids to work so convincingly (even I didn’t quite catch it at first) is impressive.
